THE POWER OF FASHION
« The power of fashion » est une série photographique inspirée du fameux Disney «Cendrillon».
En effet dans ce Classique, Cendrillon perd sa chaussure et son prince charmant lui ramène puis tombe éperdument amoureux d’elle. J’ai voulu à la fois m’inspirer et me servir de cette histoire.
La femme retrouve sa chaussure l’enfile et se sent puissante. Ici la chaussure fait référence à la mode car j’avais envie de faire comprendre à quel point j’aime cet art.
Il peut nous aider à choisir qui nous voulons être, à se sentir puissante et «inarrêtable». Je souhaitais modifier cette histoire de Disney où l’on nous fait comprendre que pour se sentir bien il faut forcément l’aide d’un homme. Je pense qu’une femme n’a besoin de personne pour se sentir «fatale». Parfois il suffit juste d’un peu de confiance pour se rendre compte de sa valeur. La mode peut sans doute être cet élément déclencheur.
«The Power of Fashion» is a photographic series inspired by the famous Disney classic «Cinderella».
In the original story, Cinderella loses her shoe, and her Prince Charming finds it, returns it to her, and falls madly in love with her. I wanted to draw inspiration from this tale while reinterpreting it.
In my version, the woman finds her shoe, puts it on, and feels powerful. Here, the shoe symbolizes fashion, as I wanted to convey how much I love this art form.
Fashion can help us choose who we want to be, make us feel powerful and «unstoppable.»
My aim was to transform this Disney story, which suggests that a woman needs a man’s help to feel good about herself. I believe a woman doesn’t need anyone to feel «femme fatale.» Sometimes, all it takes is a bit of confidence to recognize one’s worth. Fashion can undoubtedly be that spark.
